Hatha Yoga

In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated.

You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.

No matter if you are a beginner or an advanced yogi you will truly love this class!

We increase the room temperature in some of our Hatha Yoga classes. This warms up the muscles & stimulates circulation.

Restorative/Yin Yoga

Restorative/Yin Yoga

Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body.

This class will flow slowly through sun salutations and postures designed to build internal heat slowly and gently.  Meditation and Pranaymana (breath work) techniques are taught to promote relaxation.  A Yin class is also gentle, restorative, and deeply nourishing.

You will be encouraged to work in harmony with your body but guided to gently stretch out to a deeper level by holding positions for a bit longer. You will be supported by bolsters to help you relax more deeply and let go of tension and stress. The studio is heated to a lovely warm temperature and the class finishes with a nice long restorative relaxation.

Hatha Flow

Our Hatha Flow class will see you moving though classical Hatha postures, flowing from one to another, synchronising the breath with movement.

If the class is Dynamic you will have the opportunity to deepen the strength of your practise by holding the poses for longer and maybe, if appropriate, you can try other postures that require more strength, flexibility, balance & control.

This class will enable you to let go after a stressful day, get back into your body and bring you to a more peaceful & centred place by the end.

Hot Yoga

Appropriate for those wishing to develop or enhance their flexibility, balance, strength and stamina. Using carefully crafted sequences, you are ensured of a safe environment for you to develop at your own pace.

A keen eye is kept on alignment and breath throughout each class. Closing with a relaxing savasana you will be able to leave the studio with a sense of achievement and well-being.

The Studio is heated to around 32 degrees.

Seasonal Yoga

Seasonal Yoga is designed to align the changing energies of nature and the seasons in a practice that improves physical strength and flexibility, giving balance, harmony and an enhanced sense of well-being.

We target key areas based on each season in this class. Key areas such as organs and emotions. We finish with a Yoga Nidra and set ourselves up for a great night’s sleep.
